| JLG’s Toucan 10E Mast Style Boom Lift Now Available |

Hoofddorp, The Netherlands (October 1, 2009) –-- JLG Europe BV, an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, announced the availability of its Toucan 10E mast style boom lift.
An addition to the hydraulically operated Toucan™ lineup, the JLG® Toucan 10E is an electrically powered mast style boom lift with a 10m working height and it was first unveiled at the APEX show in Maastricht, The Netherlands. The JLG Toucan 10E brings productivity together with ease of maintenance and use through innovative features.
Class leading run times are achieved by the direct electric drive with dual brushless AC motors, which also contribute to the Toucan 10E’s productivity; a 25% gradeability rating as well as a maximum drive speed of 5.5 km/hr makes it easier to move the machine from site to site. The battery pack, mounted at the rear of the machine protected by the counterweight, provides more duty cycles than both the earlier equivalent sized Toucan product and its competitors thanks to a high efficiency drive and control system. Recharging is easy due to the on-board, single phase high frequency charger with self seeking voltage capabilities. For ease of battery maintenance a powered battery fill system is standard.
“A lot of attention has been paid to the products’ usability and safety. This resulted in improvements such as an easier to use 4-way joystick that also features a trigger and thumb operated steer switch,” said Robbert Monteban, JLG Director of Marketing EAME. “Operators have full, proportional control over drive, swing, lift and jib functions.”
The Toucan 10E has an enlarged LED function status display, integral battery discharge indicator and drive orientation system control to provide super smooth operation. “The all new platform design provides ample work space for two persons on both indoor and outdoor applications. A slide bar mid-rail allows entry to this 90cm wide by 70cm long steel platform, and a large tool tray and all-new compact control console contribute to its spacious feel,” said Monteban
The Toucan 10E has a load sensing system installed, new low profile wheels with non mark rubber tyres and the new steering configuration are located in a protected position within the frame. Additional attention has been paid to the passive pothole protection design which results in a ground clearance of 10.5 cm plus an enhanced break over angle.
